Overview:
Montana was just recently surpassed as the most expensive state to obtain a Genetic Counseling license in, weighing in at $500 per application! Luckily, it isn't too difficult to apply for, so it sort of makes up for itself that way... 😅
Difficulty: ⏳ - pretty simple, but you will need to have downloaded copies of your other state license verifications (if you have any).

Completing the Online Application Process:
Go to the website and click "Register for an Account" to get started.
Agree to the disclaimer and enter your user name, email address, and security question.
Fill out your contact information, making sure to select "Applicant" as the contact type.
Hit "Save" and then "Continue Application" to confirm that your account was successfully created.
Start a new license application by selecting "New Health Care License" and then select the "Genetic Counseling" license type.
Continue through the application, making sure to correctly put your information in.
If necessary, add attachments to explain anything further (arrests, health issues, etc.)
a. You may also attach proof of other held genetic counseling licenses here. If you don't have them on hand, you can still submit your application and attach them afterward.
Once you have filled out your application, continue on to payment information to complete it. Montana currently costs $500!
Hints: avoid copy-pasting numbers, as this may cause errors in the system. Be take your time reading through each question carefully to ensure that you're filling out the application correctly.
Submitting License Verifications:
Luckily, Montana will accept the free license verifications that you can download from a states website in lieu of requesting them to be sent directly from each board.
