Maintaining a current email address with the state boards' where you are licensed is important to ensure you receive renewal notices and other updates. Here's how to update your email address. Also know that an email address can be updated during a renewal for the majority of these licenses.
Note, these instructions are only for updating the email address on file to contact you NOT the email that may be used as your username to log in to the state website. To update a username, you will need to email the state directly; however, there are a few states that are the exception. They are listed below with instructions to update a username.

ABGC | Login to ABGC portal. Click on “My Account” in top right corner. Then click on the edit icon next to “Email Addresses”. |
Alabama | Email genetic@alstateboard.com for a request for an email address change. |
Arkansas | Login to AR portal. Click “Change of Address” under Free Services. |
California | Login to CA portal. Click on “Apply/Renew” under Genetic Counselor Licensure. Under Requests, select the appropriate option. If the option is not available, email CALGeneticGC@cdph.ca.gov a request for an email address change. |
Connecticut | Login to CT portal. Click "My Account". |
Delaware | Login to DE portal. Hover over the profile icon in the top right-hand corner. Click "Manager Profile" and then "Edit this Information". NOTE: Changing the email address will change the username too. |
Florida | Login to FL portal. Under “Manage your license information”, select “Change Address” from the drop down options. Then click “Select”. You can update username by clicking on "Update Account". |
Georgia | Login to GA portal. Under Menu click on “Update Personal Information”. |
Idaho | Login to ID portal and select “More” in the Menu. Scroll down to “Name and Addresses” and select “Manage Contact Information”. |
Illinois | Login to IL portal. Click "My Account". You can update username by clicking on "My Account". |
Indiana | Login to IN portal. On the left of your Dashboard, select Profile or Change Email Address and/or Change Recovery Email. |
Iowa | Login to IA portal. Click on “Licensee Services” and select “View User Profile & Mailing addresses”. |
Kentucky | Login to KY portal. Under Account, click “Addresses”. Then click the edit icon. |
Louisiana | Login to LA portal. You can change the email address directly on the dashboard main page. Make sure to click "Unlock" next to the email address first. |
Massachusetts | Login to MA portal. Click on your initials in right hand corner. Then on "Update Account Information". |
Michigan | Login to MI portal. Click "Account Management" near the top right side of the page. |
Minnesota | Login to MN portal. Click on “Change Contact Information and Profile” under “License - Genetic Counselor” box. |
Montana | Login to MT portal. Click on “Account Management” then on “Actions” in Contact Information. |
Nebraska | Login to NE website or create an account. Under “Menu” click on “Contact Information Update”. |
New Hampshire | Login to NH portal. From Menu, click “Demographics Update”. |
New Jersey | Login to NJ portal. Under “Menu”, click “Update Mailing Address”. |
New Mexico | Login to NM portal. Click on Profile icon in top right corner and select "Settings" |
North Dakota | Login to ND portal. Click on “Edit Contact Info” and fill out form. |
Ohio | Login to OH portal. Hover over your name in right hand corner and select "Manager Profile". |
Oklahoma | Login to OK portal. Sign in and click “Personal Information”. You can update username by clicking on your name in the right hand corner and then select "Account Settings" From the dropdown, select "Change Email". |
Oregon | Email hlo.info@dhsoha.state.or.us a request for an email address change. Cannot be updated during renewal process. |
Pennsylvania | Login to PA portal. Click on “Edit Your Information”. Then click “Contact”. |

South Dakota | Login to SD portal. Click “Go” for Licensee Website. Then click “Update/Add Address”. You can update username by clicking on "Edit Account" in left hand corner. |
Tennessee | Login to TN portal. Under “Manage your license information”, select “To Change Any Address” from the drop down options. Then click “Select”. |
Utah | Login to UT portal. Click on “Mailing Address Change” under Menu. Click "Edit". |
Virginia | Login to VA portal. Click “Change Address of Record”. Then click "Edit". |
Washington | Complete and submit the online contact information change form. Cannot be updated during renewal process. |
Wisconsin | Login to WI portal. Click on "Request Support" and submit a request to update your email. |
