Digital copies of your CEU certificates
Process:
Make sure you are set up for a new account. If you haven't already you can start by clicking on "Sign Up" on their portal's homepage. Just make sure you have access to your email. A verification code will be sent to you to finalize your account set up.
Sign in to Idaho portal.
Click on "Action Center" in the menu bar. There your license number should be listed. Click on the "Renew License" to begin.
If your license is not listed, click on "Associate an Existing License or Registration" under Start Here. It will ask how you'd like to verify yourself. We use the first option to avoid having to locate the letter. It will then provide different fields - license number, date of birth, etc. Once filled out and submitted, return to the dashboard and make sure to refresh the page.
Review and Answer contact information and questions about CEUs and past disciplinary actions.
Continued Education: Now you've reached the time consuming portion of the renewal. Note, the first page is ONLY a breakdown of your CEUs. You will not do anything on this page. On the next page, you will need to select "Yes" to the question about if you have additional CE courses to report. On the FOLLOWING next page is where you will input the CEU information by clicking on "Add a Record".
Idaho does not require you to upload your CEUs for renewal but we suggest it, as to avoid any headaches with an audit. Your future self will thank you.
Be aware, that you need to put in the hours for the CEU course or conference as its CEU hour format NOT as contact hours.
Pay the renewal fee with a credit or debit card. You can download the very basic receipt once the payment goes through or wait for the receipt to be emailed to you.
An updated license will be mailed to you at the mailing address given in the renewal. It should take 7-10 business days.
Idaho will not send you a copy of the updated license, though you will receive a notification when the renewal has been accepted. At which point, you can return to the portal to download the license from the dashboard under the "My Licenses" tab. There select "Click Here" under "View Licenses". Once you have the updated license in hand, you can update your license info on the Elsie tracker as well as uploading a copy of the license. Click here for details and instructions.
Tips and Tricks:
The expiration date will update immediately after submitting the renewal. Return to the dashboard and the expiration should have updated.
